Welcome to the book activities section!
When I wrote the book I wanted adults and children reading it to have an opportunity to take breaks as needed to manage their feelings, or just as a way to stop reading for the moment. To help with this I have placed activity pages between the chapters of the book. The activity pages are a fun way to reinforce the content that has just been read, and offer a natural break to stop reading if the child or the adult is feeling overwhelmed. It is also a natural break for professionals to stop that session.
As families often have more than one child, or may have borrowed the book from a library or other lender, I wanted to make these activity pages accessible to all children to help them with their journey!
Therefore I am placing them below (Let’s Talk - Using Activity Pages) in a printable format for use with the book. Have fun!

Let’s talk- using finger puppets
It is no secret that puppets are a great therapeutic tool, but also just a lot of fun! Children are able to speak about things, even asking questions, through puppets! Krista has created these beautiful finger puppets for all of you. Designed as a fun craft to print, cut out, and create the puppets; and then a fun way to act out themes from the book, or to help ask questions. There is even a black and white version that can be printed and coloured before cutting out the puppets! Be creative and have fun!
